SCOUTS

Our Scout group is for youth aged 10½  to 15 years of age. We meet on Monday or Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the St. Chads Scout Den.

Action-packed activities form the core of being a Scout, encouraging young people to make their own decisions and to explore the world around them.

Scouts develop valuable problem-solving, outdoor and teambuilding skills.

If your child would like to become a Scout, they can attend three sessions as a Visitor without any cost or commitment.

How to Become a SCOUT

If your child would like to become a Scout, please contact Kaye Hatton stchads@group.scouts.nz

Please download our St. Chads Scout Welcome v1.3 pack.

Before your child can become a SCOUT member of the Group they will need to meet the following criteria:

Scout Badges

The Scout Award Scheme is designed to help you plan your Scouting experiences around a variety of different activities.

While badges are fun to earn, it’s important to remember that they recognise your progression, they aren’t the goal itself. Having fun and taking part in the programme is the most important part!
