Scout Eligibility Criteria 

The criteria to attend the 24th New Zealand Scout Jamboree are listed below and designed to ensure the Scouts are better prepared for their Jamboree experience, emotionally, mentally and physically. Activities are team based and at times may be led by their team Leader. 

Scouts should be able to work effectively in a small team without Scout Leader supervision. Activities at this Jamboree are set at a level that would suit youth aged between 11 and 15 years old. 

For a New Zealand Scout to attend the 24th New Zealand Jamboree: 

•  The Scout must be an invested Scout by the 30th December 2026.

• The Scout has paid the appropriate Jamboree fee by the due date. 

• The Scout must have completed their Bronze Scout Award. 

• The Scout should be in the section for preferably more than a term. This allows our scout to be able to be familiar with the camping and other aspects of being a scout. 

• The Scout ideally should have camped a minimum of five nights in the Scout section. 

• The Scout ideally should have completed the following Adventure Skills - Camping Level 3; Emergency Level 2; Water Level 2; Tramping Level 2 

• The Scout must have the approval of their parents or guardians, Scout Leader, and Group Leader. 

Fundraising

The Scouts have been very busy with their fundraising events over the past 6 months with numerous sausage sizzles, raffles and holding stalls to sell goods that they have made.
