Another highly successful Ponui island weekend was had by all although this years weather was not so compliant.
Friday night brought heavy rain around 11pm and the Leaders had to decamp to the "Boat Shed"...sounds like a fancy B&B, it was a boat shed! Warm and dry.
Saturday was overcast but we were able to run all the usual activities kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding, swimming and hiking.
We departed early Sunday morning on the 9am tide on the afternoon weather forecast was for rough seas - a good decision in the end.
Once more the numbers have increased with a larger Venturer cohort also joining the Scouts.
